Alveston Grange, a cul-de-sac of modern homes, was built in 1988-89 off the north side of the High Street. The land was formerly the site of Mickleton garages.

This lane, which connects the High Street with Chapel Lane, is now known as Mill Lane although older residents can still often be heard referring to it as Mill Bank. Greyrick Cottage and Greyrick House on the left hand side.

Elder Villa stands on the corner of High Street and Mill Bank [now called Mill Lane].

C12A) This brick built barn with tiled roof, hipped, stands at the top of the orchard shown ??? Both barn, or stables, and orchard are Manor property and used to be leased with the Old Post Office.
David Moore is the butcher at this time. The shop is situated on the High Street at the junction with Back Lane.
This footpath leads through the kissing gate to the field called The Walk, from where other paths can be followed to the church or up the hills to Kiftsgate and Hidcote.

Arthur Roberts was the village cobbler (1950s) and he worked in this wooden workshop on the High Street. He lived in Granbrook Lane.
Held at 9.00am on 2nd June 1953 on the Junior Playing Field on Back Lane. The service began with singing of the national anthem, prayers were led by Rev. E.P.Hammond amd the address was given by the Methodist Minister, Rev. J.Dodds.
