The index accompanying the Women's Institute slide collection gave the names of three mothers; Mrs Buggins with the twins [centre] and two impossible to identify, Agnes Bowld nee Wright and Mrs West, standing.
The only information that accompanied this photograph was 'Sam Margetts, on the left, is carrying 'the bag''.
The index to the original slide collection had the word 'sports'. written after the title. This probably refers to the sports that took place on Club Day. This was an annual event until 1939. Held on Whit Saturday.
The tree stood close to the King's Arms pub on the High Street. The photograph is thought to have been taken in the 1920s or 1930s. The wall has been demolished.
Probably the North Cotswold Hunt who regularly met at The Kings Arms in this period.
