The Milking Pail Public house at far end of Lawson Square run, at the time of this photograph, by Stephen Cowley. The girl on the far left is Florence Collett [her family were living at neighbouring Hidcote Cottage] and next to her is Annie Beatrice Cowley. The occasion is not known but the girls and their mothers seem to be ... The Meet at Stocks Tree The tree stood close to the King's Arms pub on the High Street. The photograph is thought to have been taken in the 1920s or 1930s. The wall has been demolished.
