The nursery at Arbour House, Broadway Road.
Situated on Back Lane, the house on the right of this photo is Inverlea, built by garage owner, David Struthers in c.1962. His new garage premises were at the rear of the property. Eventually this was demolished and replaced with the small housing development called Inverlea Court.
A rare surviving example of the villages's ridge and furrow fields, Twelve Acres is situated on the corner of High Street and Stratford Road. Many village celebrations have been held there over the years.
Note the old red telephone box.
The houses are those of Wheatfield Court.
Fire service vehicles attended and helped residents in and out of their properties.

The original index accompanying the WI slide collection calls this Stoney Lane. Another villager called it Goldby Lane. There is now [2019] a road sign calling it Ivy House Lane!
