This panel had formed part of the original fireplace in the Broadway home of Mr Peter Renfrew which had been built by a William Lissaman. The panel had been stored in a garage since the 1930s. Stephen Cowley, in the centre, was licensee of the Milking Pail pub. This photograph was lent to Mickleton Women's Institute by Mrs Florence Bennett who had written 'August House Party' on the reverse. She grew up next door, in Hidcote Cottage, and her family and the Cowley family were great friends.
The proprietor was Sarah Tombs.
