A rare surviving example of the villages's ridge and furrow fields, Twelve Acres is situated on the corner of High Street and Stratford Road. Many village celebrations have been held there over the years.

Mr John Hoggins with his tractor and trailer helping 2 people in the snow in January 1982. Mr Hoggins delivered the milk in the village until the early 1990s.
