A rare surviving example of the villages's ridge and furrow fields, Twelve Acres is situated on the corner of High Street and Stratford Road. Many village celebrations have been held there over the years.

This must be a fete or May Day celebration and the ladies are probably judging the fancy dress. The field was called Ten Acres in the WI collection. Was this part of what is now called Twelve Acre Field?
