The horses' names were Captain and Jerry. Jerry was a war horse. Wally and his horses worked at Cherry Orchard and Long Hill Farm. Walter ( Wally) was born c.1916/17 and died at the age of 89 in 2006. He was generally known to be a lovely man and was a great character.
