The annual fete and flower show was held in the children's playing fields early in September. Generally, there was a dance in the hall in the evening with a variety of other activities. Owned by the Struthers. The garages stood on the High Street in the 1970s-80s. David Struther bought the garage from Peter Smith in 1972. In 1988 the site was demolished to make way for Galveston Grange.
