Sadly, both date and place are unknown.
Photograph taken outside the Methodist Chapel in Willersey. Perhaps for a joint service?
Mr Webb supplied one of his lorries as transport. Date unknown.
The index accompanying the slide collection suggested the date of 1909. The name of Rev. Coxwell-Rogers was also included but not identified on the photograph. Perhaps he is the man on the extreme right, middle row, in the straw boater? The group had probably enjoyed tea in the Collett's Tea Gardens behind them.
Not all those in the photograph were from Mickleton. Identified so far are; Front row, 6th from left, Beatrice Kitchen, far right, Wendy Butler Middle rows, 5th from left, Allen Kitchen Back row, extreme right, Peter Butler
How is this connected to Mickleton? There is nothing to indicate why this image was included in the original slide collection.
