Named the King George's Hall, it was built to commemorate the coronation of George V in 1911. The village children had their Coronation Tea in the hall before it was completed. Mickleton Welfare met in the Village hall, Mothers would take their babies and young children to be weighed by nurses, seen by the health visitor and meet other children and their mothers. The Welfare Christmas party was enjoyed by all.
