I am interested in the history of the Meads family from Mickleton as I am a something great grand-daughter of George Herbert? Meads who was a tailor journeyman and eventually ended up in London where his sons became coachmen, grooms, horse jobmasters and the like. My Grandfather William Arthur Meads was the son of William Herbert Meads, son of George Herbert Meads, and was a Riding Instructor at Smith’s stables by Hyde Park in London, teaching, amongst others, the present Duke of Gloucester to ride.

I have done some research and know that some of the family had connections with Aston and Weston Subedge, also Stratford upon Avon. Any further information would be most welcome to this family enigma. Family first names include Piercy, Elizabeth, Robert, John and Sarah.
