A family tree designed and embroidered, mainly in cross stitch, by Eunice Franklin nee Savage. She has recorded details of the three generations descended from her and her husband, Geoffrey Franklin. They married on 9th December 1944.
The Show was organised by the Victory Memorial Association and run in conjunction with the Annual Fete. Entry forms were to be given to Mr Kitchen and Mr Payne.

The orchard was on land opposite the council houses on Granbrook Lane where, later, new houses and then Meon Road, were built. The footpath that Marian is standing on led through to Canada Lane and up to Beggar's Barn where the Franklin family farmed.

Mickleton Welfare met in the Village hall, Mothers would take their babies and young children to be weighed by nurses, seen by the health visitor and meet other children and their mothers. The Welfare Christmas party was enjoyed by all.
