Land Army girls of 25 years ago
‘WAR – TIME Land Army girls of 25 years ago met in happier circumstances when Mr. Gordon Matthews, former M.P. for Meriden, and Mrs. Matthews, arranged a reunion … for them. It was at Medford House, Mickleton, near Stratford – on – Avon, which Mr. Matthews has restored and was visited by Queen Mary 25 years ago. It was then a Women’s Land Army Hostel for girls.’
