On Saturday 26th October 2024 the Harvest Supper in the King George’s Hall celebrated 20 years since the village hall was extended and extensively refurbished. Nikki and Phil Britt organised the event and Phil showed his floristry talents in the decorations. Marguerite Bell and Nikki organised and served the supper with the help of the W.I. who provided delicious seasonal crumbles.
Some 60 people enjoyed the ploughman’s supper, followed by a video of Mickleton’s history from the 1900s until present day ( by Mickleton Community Archive) and then entertainment from 4Play ( a humorous group from Blockley) and a local ukelele group who got the audience singing.
A bottle of champagne was won by the winner of the local history quiz. The evening was enjoyed by all and looks set to be an annual event.
