Village Memories
“Harry Taylor was from Willersey and very good friends with Brian and Josie Robbins, hence the appropriation of the orchard for building Meon Road. Sue was the hairdresser and I think David may have been a surveyor or accountant. When they left Mickleton they spent a couple (?) of years in Oz before returning. I know Sue continued the hairdressing in Willersey” Monty
“ What a lovely reflection. Sue and David are my parents. Sadly we lost Dad in March 2017, but my Mum Sue now lives in Pershore. We did indeed spend two years in Australia and returned in 1982. Dad was a surveyor and did drawings for his Dad, Harry when the company Taylor Made Homes was building the Meon estate and others. He later worked for Prowting homes. Mum became a lecturer in hairdressing until her retirement.

Sue Taylor was not Harry Taylor’s daughter. She was married to his son David Taylor. Harry Taylor built not only this house, but the whole of the Meon Rd estate.
