First of two classrooms of school in use in 1857 so school house would be near this date. Rubble. Slate roof. 2 s[torey]. 2 ws (two-light, one side hung, one fixed, small panes). Wing at back is single storey. One window in front blocked.
The school house was improved in 1875, the master having given notice that he would resign unless it was done. (School Log Book).
